Here at Sass Beauty, we are against animal cruelty. We pride ourselves on selling a range of vegan and cruelty-free lashes and products. We believe no animal should be used for our own sake that's why we do not use real mink/Siberian mink fur for our lashes.

We use vegan and cruelty-free fibres as well as the highest quality faux mink material made of PBT (Polybutylene Terephthalate) fiber and synthetic silk that imitate the look of mink fur but without the use and harm to an animal. These materials are so soft, lightweight and beautiful that you wouldn't want to use any other lash!

Some people who buy mink lashes do not realize that the material used for these lashes are actually real fur from a real tiny animal called a mink. They are solitary animals that live and roam freely in the wild however in the case of this million dollar industry of real mink lashes, that is far from the case.

Hundreds of minks are captured, bred or raised in captivity on mink farms, trapped together and kept in tiny cages with little room to move. Because they are wild and solitary animals, they usually cause harm of self mutilation to themselves and harm to other minks locked in the cages with them due to stress, size of the cages, infected wounds and unhygienic conditions they are kept in. Animal welfare campaigners are pushing for closures of mink farms in many countries around the world.

Many lash companies and businesses say their real mink lashes are cruelty-free and the mink animals are "gently brushed for their fur" or "the fur is collected from their shedding". The natural shedding of their fur does not keep up with the million dollar industry demand. Companies may obtain that but in the end, the minks still suffer on these farms and ultimately, will be killed for their fur.

We encourage you to look deeper and do your research into this industry and mink farming and to choose alternatives to real mink fur lashes. You will be saving countless, innocent lives and helping the most vulnerable.
